| The Lake County Extension is a partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences and the Lake County Board of County Commissioners. Trained professionals and volunteers offer research-based education in agriculture, family and consumer sciences, and 4-H youth development.

Food, nutrition, food safety, housing, home environment and leadership development
4-H/Youth Development
4-H is a fun, educational program for youths age 5-18. Young people are involved in community clubs, school enrichment groups and short-term programs in which they develop skills and knowledge in a variety of areas through "hands-on" activities and experimental learning.
