The following general ordinances have been adopted by the County, but are not yet included in the Code. |

| 2008-61 |
This ordinance repeals Sections 2-90 through 2-90.6 of the Lake County Code, which create and govern the conduct of the Lake County Industrial Development Authority. The ordinance provides for the assumption by the Board of County Commissioners of all liabilities of the Industrial Development Authority related to outstanding bonds, as well as for written notification of such to all bondholders of outstanding bonds. The ordinance repeals Section 22-10(c), which references the Lake County Industrial Development Authority, and amends Section 22-6(3)a.5. to replace the Industrial Development Authority’s nominee on the Impact Fee Committee with a member of the banking or finance industry. By repealing and amending these sections in the Lake County Code, this ordinance will have the effect of dissolving the Industrial Development Authority and the related Code provisions that govern or reference it and its functions. This ordinance will transfer liabilities of the Industrial Development Authority related to outstanding bonds to the Board of County Commissioners, and will replace the industrial community representative on the Impact Fee Committee with a representative of the banking or finance industry. |

This ordinance substantially revises Section 9.07.09, Land Development Regulations, entitled Lot Grading. The ordinance clarifies submittal requirements and applicability of the regulations and provides for certain exemptions. Section 14.14.03(C), Land Development Regulations, is being amended to reflect updated plot plan submission requirements to include additional lot grading requirements. |

This ordinance creates a new requirement that when ordinances are
brought to the Board of County Commissioners for approval, an economic impact statement
shall be prepared by the County Manager or designee and provided to the Board which
identifies the potential economic costs and benefits of the proposed amendment
to the County, property an building owners, industry and the labor market. |
| 2008-54 |
The purpose of this Ordinance is to change the parking space
calculations for the wholesale and warehousing category from one space per 10,000
square feet of lot area plus one employee, to one space per 10,000 square feet
of gross leasable area, plus one employee. The wholesale and warehousing
category is the only category based upon lot area. The change would make
the section more consistent with the calculation of parking spaces for other
categories. |

This ordinance creates Section 6-7 of the Lake County Code, entitled
Emergency Suspensions. Chapter 6 is the section of the Code that governs
regulations of contractors. The ordinance authorizes the Building Official
and the Board of Examiners to suspend, limit or restrict the ability of license
holders to obtain permits or take other emergency action. |

The purpose of this ordinance is to establish a mandatory green building standards program for Lake County building projects and to establish a voluntary program for citizen building projects. The voluntary citizen program includes incentives to encourage Lake County residents to comply with the green building initative. |
| 2008-46 |
An ordinance of the Board of County Commissioners of lake County, Florida, amending the Lake County Comprehensive Plan, rescinding Ordinance 2004-98 and replacing it with this ordinance; amending the future land use map by changing the Land Use Designation of approximately 18 acres in three parcels from suburban to urban expansion area with a community commercial activity center overlay for property in Section 7, Township 21 South, Range 25 East, located around the intersection of US 27 and the Florida Turnpike; amending the text of the Future Land Use Element by creating a policy limiting commercial development to a maximum of 250,000 square feet on said 18 acres; providing for proof of publication as required by Chapter 163, Florida Statutes Section 163.3184(15); providing for severability; and providing for an effective date. |
