Commission approves free bus fares for students in Dec. & Jan.
At its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, the Lake County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a request by the Department of Community Services, Public Transportation Division, to waive student fares on LakeXpress for December and January.

The Lake County Department of Public Works, Parks & Trails Division, is hosting two consecutive public meetings on Wednesday, Dec. 17, and Thursday, Dec. 18, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the Sorrento Christian Center, located at 32441 N. County Road 437, to discuss proposed plans for East Lake Community Park in the Sorrento community.
